The Perry County Public Library – your meeting place for information, entertainment, and education.

The Perry County Public Library serves the citizens of Perry County, Kentucky with the main library and a bookmobile.  The library provides a wide variety of popular materials and services and the bookmobile serves as a mobile branch delivering library materials.

Service is provided by friendly, certified staff.  Programs, such as book club, storytime, and special events are offered to children, teens, and adults.  Notification to the public is published in local newspapers, announced on WSGS radio and WYMT TV, and the library’s website is regularly updated for upcoming events.

You may obtain your free picture ID by bringing in a current picture ID, your current address, and phone number.  The first card is free.  Replacement cards are issued for $3.00.

Our computer service is offered free of charge; however there is a charge for printing of .10 per page.

We are a tax-exempt organization and therefore cannot purchase books or other items for the public.  However, we will be happy to assist you in finding a place from which you can order requested items.

We have two meetings rooms available for the public.  Each room holds approximately 50 people, or they can be opened up and used together to accommodate approximately 100 people.  There is a kitchen accessible to meeting Room #1 only.  Meeting rooms can be used after hours.  In that situation, a key must be picked up from the library during regular business hours and a $10 deposit is required. Once the key is returned and the meeting room is determined to be in the same condition as first used, the key deposit will be refunded.  Call the library at (606) 436-2475 for more information and to schedule a meeting room.
